Desirée Adams

Desirée Adams has more than seven years experience in the production of conferences and special events. A vast amount of her time at The Webster Group is spent working with government and nonprofit clients such as FEMA, Teach for America, the American Red Cross, the PenFed Foundation, the Disabled Veterans' LIFE Memorial Foundation, IREX, the Lupus Foundation of America and the Points of Light Foundation events surrounding the Kennedy Center Tribute to President George H.W. Bush.

Ms. Adams is involved in all production aspects and handles site selection, room-set and catering requirements, speaker coordination, audio/visual and technical requirements and database management. On site, she assists with registration and vendor management and often oversees multiple breakout sessions and receptions.

Ms. Adams previously worked as a special event manager for the American Heart Association where she coordinated the logistics and planning for an annual three-day wine tasting and auction event that raised $1 million dollars. Prior to that, she coordinated the 7,000 attendee annual meeting of the American Political Science Association.

Ms. Adams holds a BA in Sociology/Anthropology from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY with a minor in Writing and Rhetoric. She also holds a certificate in Meeting and Event Planning from the University of Virginia and is an active member of the International Special Events Society (ISES).
