EVENT OVERVIEW
The U.S. Trade and Development Agency sponsored a Workshop in Mumbai, India. The goal was to create a forum for U.S. and Indian industry and policymakers to discuss technical, commercial, regulatory, and policy aspects of energy storage, smart grid, and energy efficiency. The Workshop covered the topics of energy storage, smart grid, and energy efficiency.
EVENT SUMMARY
The USTDA India Energy Storage and Smart Grid Workshop was held on December 10-11, 2018 in Mumbai, India.
The two-day workshop took place at the St. Regis Hotel in Mumbai, India. More than 80 representatives of U.S. and Indian public and private entities participated. The event offered two days of programming that highlighted U.S. and Indian perspectives on relevant topics such as grid modernizations, energy storage, solar parks, distributed energy recourses, and e-mobility as well as discussions on relevant technologies, policies, and financing requirements. In addition, the workshop included roundtables to focus discussion on grid modernization and energy storage case studies provided by both U.S and Indian utilities. Networking breaks, lunches, and a reception the evening of the first day provided time for participants to network.
